The plot of the family house is located in the eastern part of the village of Šestajovice in the area of V Lukách. It is a newly subdivided meadow on a very gentle eastern slope. Access and entrance are from the north side via a new road constructed as part of the infrastructure development of the area. The building is positioned on the plot to create external private living spaces with southern sunlight. The structure consists of two parts. The western part is dedicated to the daily zone, while the eastern part houses the quiet zone. In between, there is an entrance to the building with a spacious hall. The mass of the building has been shaped to provide ample lighting, sunshine, and a sense of privacy in its interior. Equal attention has been given to the external living spaces. The operation of the house is complemented by a covered terrace adjacent to the entrance hall, an open terrace in front of the living area, and a covered porch in front of the bedrooms.

privacy
The overall modeling was influenced by the concurrently emerging construction of houses in the vicinity, which significantly reduced the feeling of privacy on the subject plot. The classic two-story design was therefore replaced by a single-story concept with an L-shaped floor plan and an outer shielding wall. The intimacy of the outdoor spaces is further supported by protruding parts of the house, which apply both in the garden area of the house and at the entrance to the building. The final component of privacy protection was the garden modifications, which gradually emerged as part of acclimating to the house and its surroundings.

operation
From the adjacent public road, it is possible to drive directly into the parking bay. The area is partially sheltered from the elements and allows access to a utility storage room and a glass-enclosed vestibule of the house. This leads to the central hall with a visual connection through the covered terrace to the garden area of the house. The hall allows access to the daily part of the house represented by the living area or the night zone featuring individual bedrooms. The living space is functionally divided into three sections. At the entrance, there is a large open-space kitchen with a bar counter, the middle section contains a dining area with lighting from both the eastern and western sides, and at the southern end, there is seating, which is sunlit from the south by a window with a sill, while from the eastern side, it opens through a French window to the garden. In this direction, there is also an open external living terrace. Eastward from the central hall connects a bedroom corridor. It links the master bedroom, two children's rooms, a dressing room, a toilet, and a bathroom. The living rooms are located along the southern facade, benefitting from ample sunlight and views of the garden. Therefore, large-format French windows with roof overhangs to prevent summer overheating are used in this direction. The auxiliary spaces are predominantly lit from the north with diffuse light. Consequently, windows with sills are installed in this direction.

structural and material solutions
The foundation of the building is constructed as a concrete monolithic slab on strips with the appropriate insulation. The vertical load-bearing and non-load-bearing structures are ceramic. The ceiling and also the roof load-bearing structure are flat monolithic reinforced concrete slabs with sloped insulating layers. The floor constructions are concrete with a wooden wear layer in the living areas and ceramic in the service areas. The interior plaster is smooth stucco with a white coating. Wall coverings in the sanitary facilities are ceramic up to the height of the door openings. Openings are filled with aluminum frames with an anthracite finish, including external blinds. The main mass of the house is finished with smooth stucco plaster in a light gray tone, while the in-between walls are covered with dark stone cladding.
