The installation Return to the Source, created for Designblok 2025, explores water as a fundamental re-source — both physical and symbolic. The spatial composition unfolds as a sequence that guides visitors from an environmentally burdened past toward a potential sustainable future. Its central element is a structure composed of 3,600 recycled PET bottles, representing the number of plastic bottles consumed in the Czech Republic every five minutes. An abstract statistic is thus transformed into a tangible, spatially legible experience.
The gradual transformation of the installation continues through elements made from recycled materials and through working with water as a local source. The project combines architecture, scenography, and an environmental narrative, emphasizing simple, comprehensible gestures rather than didactic statements. The exhibition functions as a space for slowing down and reflection, inviting visitors to reconsider everyday habits whose impact on the environment is often overlooked, yet significant.
