Mountain Apartments Wood & Monolith

Two mountain apartments “WOOD & MONOLITH” – twins that cannot be hidden, yet each is different, unique. They are based on the same floor plan, which is simply mirrored. They respect the mountain environment of the Krkonoš, highlighting the qualities of the location and not hiding the written handwriting of the architect. The different atmospheres of the apartments arise from and reflect the distinct nature and perception of space of their clients. Subtle nuances create a different experience and feeling from the time spent in the apartment.
The first apartment “WOOD” is designed for a client who prefers tranquility, coziness, and comfort. The wooden floor in this apartment transitions into wall and ceiling cladding, creating a pleasant sense of safety and comfort. This interior contrasts with the hectic city life, offering a refuge that emits calmness and a magical atmosphere with its warm wooden finishes, soft textiles, and muted lighting. Striking contrasts between the wood and black details are complemented by gentle lighting in the form of hanging wire lights above the dining table, creating a cozy atmosphere ideal for evening gatherings and relaxation. Sliding glass doors in a metal frame separate the living area from possible noise from neighboring apartments but do not disrupt the overall impression of an open space.
The second apartment “MONOLITH” is designed for a dynamic, modern-thinking young man who appreciates minimalism, concrete, metal, but also the scent of wood that resonates with the mountain environment. A striking feature is the concrete ceilings with visible branching textile lighting cables and metal structures that harmonize with pleasant natural wooden cladding and elements, adding a warm touch to the interior. This very contrast allows the wood to stand out in its full beauty. This creates a space that is modern while being in harmony with the natural mountain environment.
Both apartments share airiness and a connection to the surrounding nature. From the apartments, one can admire the view of the opposite hills of Vítkovice and Benecko, further enhancing the feeling of tranquility and connection with nature. The interiors are carefully designed to provide comfort and relaxation, while also respecting the natural character of the surroundings, making them an ideal place to rest in the heart of the mountains.
