Amadeus is a large-format sliding glazing system from the Austrian company Amari Austria, supplied on the Czech market by OKNA.EU. Its perimeter frames are recessed into the floor, header and jambs. The term “frameless” therefore describes the finished appearance: the frames remain part of the structure but are concealed once construction is complete. Vertical profiles with visible widths of 25 or 33 mm separate the individual glazed elements.

The system combines fixed and sliding sections. It allows sliding panels and fixed glazed elements with surface areas of up to 18 m². Heights of up to 6 metres can be achieved in selected configurations. Specific dimensions, layouts and glazing specifications are assessed according to project conditions. In addition to straight configurations, options include corner openings, panels that slide into wall pockets and multi-track arrangements.

The design incorporates a barrier-free threshold with concealed drainage. Sliding elements can be equipped with motorised operation, electronic locking, integrated insect screens and shading to suit the building’s needs. The choice of glazing and accessories depends on thermal performance requirements, shading needs and intended use.

Integration of the system should ideally be addressed at the concept design stage. Concealed frames and recessed tracks require coordination with the load-bearing structure, floor build-up and adjoining exterior surfaces.
