Ostrava - The developer group Antracit is preparing the construction of about ten row houses in Ostrava, created using concrete 3D printing. Project documentation is beginning to be prepared, the next phase will be the pre-sale, and the final appearance of the houses will be shaped according to the requirements of future residents. The homes could be built next year. Michaela Dvořáková, the marketing manager of Antracit, said this today to ČTK.
The design authors are architects from Coral Construction Technologies, a leader in the field of concrete 3D printing and construction automation, and are part of the investment group Purposia Group along with Antracit. Dvořáková stated that the price of the houses cannot yet be disclosed at this stage of the project.
The project Residence Meandry Výškovice will be located near the Odra River in the Ostrava-Jih district. "From a bird's-eye view, the entire design appears as a continuous meander that winds through the area, creating a soft boundary between the built environment and the landscape," Dvořáková stated.
Around 15 families will find housing in the row houses of various sizes. The houses will have their own gardens or terraces and parking spaces. "The project is based on the principle of adaptable living, which can naturally change with the needs of its inhabitants. The proposed construction thus supports diverse life situations and allows homes to flexibly adapt to the individual phases of life," Dvořáková mentioned.
The director of the Antracit group, Zuzana Bajgarová, stated that thanks to 3D printing, there doesn't have to be a single universal type of house; each house can be different. "We offer housing that adjusts to people, not the other way around. And this flexibility, along with a fast and efficient construction process, can be crucial for the future of residential development," Bajgarová added.
The mobile 3D printing unit will enable the project to be carried out directly on-site, quickly and with high precision. "Thanks to 3D printing technology, we can build architecturally higher-quality houses without significant cost increases. At the same time, it is a very fast form of construction - while traditional technologies would take about two years, using 3D printing can be completed in about one year," said Jiří Uran Vítek from Coral Construction Technologies.
The Ostrava holding Purposia Group deals with construction projects from design to construction and property management. The holding comprises 43 companies with annual revenues of four billion crowns. It operates in ten European countries.
