Maximum simplicity, clean lines, and subtle colors. A modern family new build near Zlín impresses at first glance with its successful connection between the living area and the exterior. A significant contribution to this was made by the original design of the multi-level composite terrace developed by the owner and the selection of the right boards.

Not long ago, there was an interesting but unused building plot on the outskirts of Mysločovice. There was no doubt that a family house would be built there; only the observant neighbors could have been slightly anxious about what kind. It turned out excellently. The decisive share of this goes to the investor himself, a builder by profession. Thanks to this, attention was paid to every detail from the very beginning, including the connection of the living area of the house with the immediate surroundings through the help of a sculpted terrace made of composite material WoodPlastic®.
The partially covered terrace with a total area of 119 m² represents a dominant element of the house's exterior and, in both concept and color execution, significantly contributes to the pleasant impression of the entire space. In selecting the boards, the owners utilized the opportunity to visit the showroom of the manufacturer, the Czech company WPC – WoodPlastic, in Nebovidy near Brno. During this visit, they clarified options, got acquainted with the offerings, and preliminarily discussed their project specifics with specialists on composite wood terraces.
“The repeated consultations were detailed, always very constructive, and substantive. The client approached the selection very carefully; he was concerned with details – to ensure that dirt would not accumulate in the grooves between the boards, how best to design and install the stairs to be comfortable to walk on and also to sit on, or how to ideally solve the pool cover,” describes his experience Vlastimil Kopecký, a technician at Art Bazény, which ultimately installed the terrace as a certified partner of the manufacturer.
The property owner ultimately chose Forest Plus boards with irregular graining, in a modern Inox shade. Although he initially toyed with the idea of opting for attractive dark boards resembling ebony wood, it turned out that the steel gray harmonizes best with the unpretentious facade of the house featuring large glazed areas, the lamella pergola, the crystal-clear pool blue, the rich greenery of the planted flora, and, last but not least, the preferred furnishings. The same boards were also used on the unique movable pool cover. The result is compact and natural.
Full-profile and fully colored composite boards Forest Plus are manufactured by WPC – WoodPlastic at its factory in Bukovany, Central Bohemia. The embossed surface with a prominent natural pattern combined with irregular pigmenting enhances the grain of the wood, contributes to safer movement on the terrace, and helps minimize any potential dirt on its overall appearance. Each board that leaves the factory gates comes with a birth certificate that guarantees product quality and ensures both the quality of the material itself and the use of top-notch manufacturing technology Strandex.
The patented material WoodPlastic® contains selected wood flour from renewable sources enriched with virgin polyethylene PE-HD, which is health-safe and 100% recyclable. Thanks to its composition and production method, such fully functional boards are pleasant to the touch and have a highly representative design. The Czech manufacturer provides a warranty of up to 25 years on its boards against rot and the action of wood-destroying fungi, ensuring that the terraces can withstand even high loads, UV radiation, adverse climate, dust, pool chemicals, or saltwater over the long term. All this with minimal maintenance required.
The Czech company WPC – WoodPlastic is among the leading European manufacturers and suppliers of terraces, fences, wall coverings, and shading and decorative lamellas made of composite wood. Its products are used by tens of thousands of families, companies, institutions, and even cities in more than 30 countries worldwide. With a range of quality boards in well-stocked warehouses, an extensive network of certified partners, and the ability to respond flexibly to every order, including atypical ones, it can satisfy even the most demanding customers. Just as it managed to do within a single week in the Moravian Mysločovice.
