The plastic window and lift-and-slide door system Schüco LivIngSlide boasts that the used EPDM sealing has been tested by both the medical field and the aerospace industry. The patented weldable EPDM sealing contributes to long-term resistance to climatic influences, maintaining stability and flexibility even at temperatures from -40 °C to +120 °C. It guarantees excellent sealing of windows even in critical corner areas, improves water tightness and UV resistance, and last but not least, it is an aesthetic solution, as the sealing remains uninterrupted around the entire frame. The appearance of the Schüco LivIngSlide windows and lift-and-slide doors creates clean lines of aligned profiles, and they can be enhanced with a wide range of decorative foils; exclusive Schüco AutomotiveFinish metallic colors technology and Schüco TopAlu aluminum cover strips are available, which elevate the design of plastic windows to a higher level. Thanks to the uniform profile of both the windows and the lift-and-slide system Schüco LivIngSlide, customers have the opportunity to perfectly harmonize all glazed areas of the house in one frame design. Window seals tested in the medical and aerospace industries

EPDM sealing is highly resistant to climatic influences over the long term; it is a top material used in fields such as medicine and aerospace. It features excellent shape memory and guarantees great window sealing throughout its lifespan, even in critical corner areas of the windows. In addition to perfect sealing performance, increased water tightness, and an aesthetic uninterrupted design around the entire perimeter, its advantages include UV resistance and stability in extreme climatic conditions, maintaining flexibility at temperatures from -40 °C to +120 °C, making it suitable for use in all types of buildings and in all climatic zones. Currently, Schüco is the only system supplier that offers its customers such high-quality EPDM sealing as standard. Schüco first introduced the sealing technology it developed in collaboration with Semperit for the Schüco LivIng system platform at the Fensterbau trade fair in 2016.

Easy operation of elements up to 2.6 meters high with leaf weights up to 400 kg

The Schüco LivIngSlide lift-and-slide systems are designed for demanding requirements regarding stability, weather, and water resistance. Manufacturers or processors benefit from rapid and easy processing and installation of these profiles. Schüco LivIngSlide is based on a six-chamber design of the leaf profile. With a construction depth of the leaf of 82 mm, the system achieves a Uf value of 1.3 W/(m²K). In white design, elements can be produced with widths up to 650 cm and heights of 260 cm, with a maximum leaf weight of 400 kg. The stability of these large-format constructions is achieved through steel reinforcements in the plastic frame, which have a hollow rectangular cross-section. Movable and fixed parts can be combined to allow easy handling of up to four wings, and they are designed as single or double-track sliding systems. The running wheels help ensure safe centering and securing, which facilitates handling. Depending on the type of element, resistance to burglary can be achieved up to class RC2. With a basic construction depth of the frame of 194 mm, the system is suitable for new builds and renovations in any climatic zone.

Efficient production is an added value for processors

Schüco LivIngSlide is related to Schüco LivIng and is therefore compatible with the window and door system of this series. The added value for processors lies in the use of weldable EPDM sealing, machine processing of the leaf, and simple installation. Another advantage is the compatibility of accessories with the Schüco LivIng window system, allowing manufacturers to use a large number of identical accessories. Processors also benefit from the use of additive glazing technology and a range of glazing beads available in thicknesses of 2 mm. This means that glass can be glazed from a thickness of 24 mm to 52 mm, including special glass, without the need to change the sealing of the glazing beads. The stable frame does not require additional reinforcement measures, which also shortens and streamlines production. Subsequent assembly is simplified by a set of connectors. This reduces the amount of additional sealing materials used, which significantly simplifies assembly. Processors can order profiles cut to optimal lengths with corresponding fittings and handles as a complete package from a single source at Schüco.
