Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM ceramic climate floor is an easily coordinated comprehensive system, rational and efficient, with a low construction height and a short completion time, suitable for both new constructions and renovations. It is suitable for residential as well as commercial spaces such as offices, retail, and exhibition areas like car showrooms.
Advantages for Design
When using Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM for underfloor heating, generally no additional disruptive heating elements are required. This allows for appropriate design freedom. In addition to ceramics and natural stone, other materials can also be used, such as parquet, laminate, and carpet, which provides various options for interior shaping.

The company Detalon, s.r.o. is a long-standing supplier of the successful "underfloor heating" solution in the Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM system from Schlüter-Systems. The "climate floor" is viewed here as a complete structure, whose individual parts, design, and execution trades are systematically coordinated.
Demands for underfloor heating are generally high, the climate floor structure must fulfill the following functions:

•    Thermal and acoustic insulation
•    Function as a “large surface heating element”
•    Cooling
•    Taking up and distributing operational loads, conditioned by use
•    Waterproof insulation in wet operations

Experience from the past has shown how difficult it is to coordinate these requirements.

Thought-out System The Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM System
Conventional underfloor heating reacts very slowly to temperature changes. The Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM system completely (truly revolutionarily) solves these problems and is protected by an international patent. It is based on an extremely thin floor composition, forming a screed on the Schlüter®-BEKOTEC system board (polystyrene -EN or foil -N 23 F), in which its transverse tension is completely neutralized.

The screed can be either cement or poured anhydrite. The system board is laid directly on the load-bearing substrate or on standard thermal and/or acoustic insulation. Any covering can be laid on the screed immediately after it is walkable, including tiles using the Schlüter®-DITRA mat. Additional components labeled THERM then provide heating technology perfectly coordinated with the BEKOTEC structure, from heating pipes to electronic control.

Rapid Thermal Response and Savings
With such constructed "underfloor heating," with a relatively small amount of screed and heating pipes placed close to the surface, there is a rapid response to changes in temperature. The air channels on the back of the Schlüter®-DITRA mat then allow for uniform heat distribution under the covering. The climate floor therefore reacts very quickly and can be heated very economically with low temperatures on the supply pipes. It has been verified that heating with the Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM system can achieve energy savings of at least 25%.

The complete Schlüter®-BEKOTEC-THERM system thus enables executing companies to gain new competencies in the systematic solution of floor heating for new buildings as well as renovations.
