Peter Christensen: Blasphemy of Genius in the History of Architecture. The lecture examines the origins of the history of architecture as a separate discipline in Germany in the 19th century and reconstructs its reliance on attribution methods derived from fine arts to the confusion of the roles of various designers, engineers, craftsmen, builders, and users, often in service of various forms of power oppression. While the lecture is historically focused, it also seeks reflection in contemporary practice and serves as a template for an increasingly extensive discourse on authorship in the architecture of post-starchitects.
