Conference VIZKON 2018 is approaching

The idea of the conference is to create a space for people interested in visualizations to meet and provide them with enough new stimuli and inspiration, methods, and technological innovations, so that attending the conference advances them a bit further in their professional lives.

This has not changed in the second year either. The first edition was incredibly inspiring and an interesting meeting of people from various fields, leading us to discover what we needed to know. What is the situation with visualizations in the Czech Republic (and Slovakia). The findings were summarized at Vizkon EDU and will also be presented at the next "live" edition of the conference. There is confusion in visualizations. Partly because they are very much about individual taste and the current purpose of the display, but also because, whether we like it or not, there are many confusing influences. This makes us long for a coherent platform for exchanging experiences. We are trying to remedy this.

Therefore, we emphasize the diversity of speakers from fields related to visualizations. In addition to the visualizers themselves, we select well-known figures from the world of photography, architecture, drawing and painting, archaeology, philosophy, and other fields. To also meet practical requirements, a support corner is available at the conference, featuring representatives of software and hardware related to modeling and visualizations. We simply aim to create a place where everyone learns what they need and a little more.
