The City Library in Prague will organize several lectures and a seminar on the topic of architecture in January.
Holistic Architecture (lectured by academic architect Oldřich Hozman) Central Library, Small Hall (Mariánské nám. 1, Prague 1), always at 19:00 January 11. Multilevel Properties of Landscape and Humanity Harmony of buildings and the environment. Living space and the order of nature. The significance of gestures and the expressive language of architecture. Creative elemental forces and architecture. Improving our living environment by cultivating love towards the place. Seminar: Harmony of Architecture and Environment (lectured by academic architect Oldřich Hozman) January 9. 10:15 – 19:00, Central Library, Club Room (Mariánské nám. 1, Prague 1) A full-day seminar summarizing the topics of two lectures in November and two in December on the topic of Holistic Architecture. The seminar focuses on practical examples and exercises in perceiving the subtle properties of space. From 17:00 – 19:00, there will be a walk included in the seminar to places related to the topics. Architect Josef Zítek January 19. 17:00, Ostrovský Library (Na Skalce 29/972, Prague 5) To commemorate the centenary of the death of architect Josef Zítek, the designer of the Rudolfinium building, the Mill Colonnade in Karlovy Vary, and the first design of the National Theatre in Prague, the Ostrovský Library will hold a discussion with PhDr. Jiří T.
