TreeHugger is an insect hotel made from responsive wood, designed to create favorable conditions for insect diversity. It utilizes diverse orientation to the cardinal points, specific shaping, and cuts of wood from different parts of the tree trunk. This provides a range of microclimatic and spatial conditions suitable for various species of insects. The workshop is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition Beyond the Borders of Architecture: Czech and Slovak Place-Making for 99%, which will open on September 9, 2025, at Kafkárna. Capacity is limited – sign up via the form.
