In Prague, the Harfa Gallery, a new shopping center, will be built

Prague - Another shopping and office center will be built in Prague. It will be named Galerie Harfa, and the Lighthouse Group plans to construct it near the O2 Arena in Vysočany. The first shoppers are expected to be welcomed to the shopping gallery in June 2010. This was announced in a press release by Eurohypo AG, which financially supported the construction.
    The shopping center will cover an area of 39,000 square meters, with approximately 15,000 square meters reserved for offices. According to Eurohypo, which provided around 147.5 million euros for the project planning and investment phase, the proximity of the multipurpose hall and the metro station will benefit Galerie Harfa. The Lighthouse Group currently does not want to disclose details regarding the project.
    This November, the shopping gallery Arkády Pankrác will open in Prague, focusing primarily on fashion with its 45,000 square meters of space. The total costs of the ECE Projektmanagement Prague and Rodamco Europe project will rise to approximately three billion crowns.
    Other shopping centers are also planned in the metropolis. A commercial complex called Copa Centrum with 10,000 square meters of shopping space is set to be built on Národní třída near the Tesco department store within the next two years. Within five years, the Savarin project could begin operating, offering up to 30,000 square meters of retail space in the lower part of Wenceslas Square. On Na Poříčí street, in the area of former printing houses, a shopping complex named Vítek Centrum with a trading area of 25,000 square meters is planned to be built in the next five years. Approximately 15,000 square meters of retail space will be created after the renovation of the former ČSOB headquarters on Na Příkopě street.
