Prague - The English International School Prague (EISP) will start the next school year in a new campus in Prague 4. The new location, which was introduced today by representatives of the private school to journalists, will unite three existing schools so that children from 18 months to 18 years can learn together. The school will have a capacity for 450 to 550 students.
The campus is worth 216 million Czech crowns. Its facilities include laboratories, language classrooms, rooms for teaching information technology, a pottery workshop, a space for music concerts and rehearsals, a theater studio and an amphitheater, a gymnasium, and sports facilities. The building will also have a clinic with a nurse. Student transportation will be provided daily by school buses.
The school will also have a new principal; starting in September, Brit Paul Brewster will take up the position, replacing the current principal Sylvia May. He has gathered educational experience in Britain, where he taught mathematics and computer science.
Annual tuition at EISP ranges from several tens to several hundred thousand crowns depending on the age of the child and their attendance. Students aged 14 to 16 can apply for social scholarships, and there are still two places available for the next year. Currently, students from 36 different nationalities are educated at the school.
