Prague - The Prague 14 City Hall will reconstruct its headquarters on Bratří Venclíků Street near the B line metro station Rajská Zahrada. It aims to reduce operational costs of the buildings and improve their energy efficiency. The costs will reach 130 million crowns. This follows from a document approved by the representatives of the city district. The representatives also decided that the district will have a project developed for the building extension. The town hall is located in panel buildings.

Of the total costs, the city district will obtain more than 89 million from European funds. Additional funds will be received from the capital city, and approximately 33.6 million crowns will be invested into the project from its own budget. Given that the money from European funds is disbursed gradually, Prague 14 has requested a loan of 130 million from the magistrate. It will start repaying it next year and will settle it by November 2029. The loan has already been approved by the city council.

In the future, a two-story extension could be built in front of the renovated buildings. The representatives approved the preparation of a project for its construction. The new entrance would consist of a glass extension, with counters on the ground floor where residents could resolve everything they need. The space will be barrier-free. The building will have clocks added. It will include a café or refreshments. On the upper floor, there will be meeting and conference rooms. The area around the building will also undergo transformation.

By the end of this year, Prague 7 will also move into the new building. The acquisition of the new building will cost several hundred million crowns. The current premises on Captain Jaroš Embankment must be vacated because they belong to the state. Prague 7 purchased the new facility for 89 million crowns excluding VAT. The building will create over two hundred jobs and the same number for visitors.
