Prague 19 wants to build a new primary school for 116 million

Prague - Prague 19 is preparing to build a new elementary school for 300 children. This is an investment of 116 million crowns. From its own budget, it wants to cover only part of the costs. Most of it should be covered by subsidies. Prague councillors today approved a subsidy of 30 million crowns for the construction, as reported by ČTK from the resolution.
    On the northeastern outskirts of Prague, the population continues to grow due to construction. In the district of Prague 19, the population has increased by 45% over the last ten years and is still rising. Currently, approximately 112 more children are added each year. Starting next year, new residential construction is planned. The developer has promised assistance regarding places in kindergartens. However, the municipality is resolving which school the school-aged children will attend.
    The new school building is expected to contain 12 to 14 classrooms. It is planned to include facilities such as changing rooms, staff rooms, and a cafeteria. Prague 19 will allocate 25 million crowns from its budget. Last year, it requested a subsidy of 78 million, and it had already received 20 million crowns from Prague at that time.
