The best ecological buildings are in Žďár, Prague, and Hostěnice

Brno - The best eco-friendly buildings of the past year in the Czech Republic are the Arrow factory in Žďár, the Center for Economic and Managerial Studies at the Czech Agricultural University in Prague, and the ecological education center in Hostětín. Regardless of the order, this was decided by the jury of the Ecological Building of the Year competition. At the festive evening of the Brno Ecological Fair, awards were also given for the best exhibits and exhibits of the fair.
    In the Ecological Building of the Year competition, the jury also awarded two honorary mentions, for the Golf Course in Sokolov and for the Prague operational center of Eurotel, now Telefónica 02.
    Experts highlighted even more the ecological education center developed in Hostětín in the Uherskohradišťsko region by the Veronica Institute. The low-energy house cost 23.5 million, is made of wood, straw bales, mineral wool, stone, bricks, and concrete, and utilizes ecological methods for energy management. The addition at the Faculty of Business and Economics of the Prague Agricultural University, the seat of the Center for Economic and Managerial Studies, also received an award. The third honored is the Arrow factory in Žďár nad Sázavou. The manufacturer of medical technology has already succeeded with its project in the regional Building of the Year competition.
    The gold medal for the best exhibit at the Ecological Fair was awarded to the Ostrava company Agro-Eko. In Brno, it presented a machine for processing biodegradable waste, the aerobic fermentor EWA. According to the jury, the best stand at the fair belongs to the companies SITA CZ and ONDEO Services CZ. A special prize was awarded for the presentation of flood prevention measures, which was also showcased this year at the Building Fair and at the Defense and Security Technology Fair Idet.
