Prague - The Ministry for Regional Development (MMR) will educate building officials using European funds. In total, it aims to train 800 people from across the Czech Republic in the first phase, the ministry informed today.

The goal of the project, according to MMR, is to establish a comprehensive system of education and training for employees and officials of municipal building offices and to enhance the efficiency of their education.
"The creation of a coherent system of educational activities for building officials will allow for uniform procedures in the performance of the activities of building officials across the entire Czech Republic," stated MMR, adding that the target group of the project includes employees of first-instance and second-instance municipal building offices.
Officials will be educated, among other things, in spatial planning documentation, territorial decisions, building regulations, inspection and oversight, barrier-free use of buildings, and various legislative measures.
Experts in individual fields will prepare specialized study texts for both e-learning and in-person seminars. Subsequently, the specific issues will be presented at in-person seminars, which will take place from this February to June.
