Prague - The Prague City Hall will repair the façade of the Old Town Hall. New plaster will be applied to the facades of several buildings that make up the city hall block. The walls of the tower, astronomical clock, chapel, and the rear section of the town hall will not be repaired for now, said Jiří Wolf, spokesperson for the city hall. The capital city will pay 21.5 million crowns for the new façades. The city's leadership decided to give a new look to the house U Kohouta, Mikš's house, the New Wing, and Wolfin's house, as well as the eastern part of the façade of the Sprenger Wing's remains and the southern and eastern façades of the house U Minuty. "The repairs of individual buildings will take place gradually, starting now in the autumn, there will be a technological break in winter and work will resume in the spring months," Wolf stated. The selected company will begin to assemble the first scaffolding on Friday at Mikš's house. The work here will be completed by January 1. Completion of the façade of the house U Kohouta is also planned by the same date, and the city hall still needs to negotiate with the tenant of the restaurant U Minuty regarding the construction of the scaffolding. The other façades will be repaired between March 1 and July 23.
