Králův Dvůr (Berounsko) - Králův Dvůr in the Beroun region plans to construct a new primary school for 300 children. However, it is considering dividing the project into phases and instead of one large building, installing several modular units. This would allow it to respond flexibly to population development. Construction is expected next year and the following year, said Mayor Petr Vychodil (ODS) to ČTK. "We have planned the construction of a whole new school pavilion for 300 children for next year and the year after, but I do not want to build it all at once. I would like to redesign the project and proceed in phases. For example, create units where two classrooms are made, and it will grow gradually," said the mayor. Currently, primary schools in the city have a total capacity of around 750 places, which is starting to become insufficient. Schools have to turn away some children from nearby municipalities during enrollment. This autumn, a private primary school with an extended English language curriculum should also open in the city. A new kindergarten for 50 children will also be established in Králův Dvůr this year. The total capacity of kindergartens in the city will thereby increase to approximately 350 places. The newly built kindergarten is also expected to be modular. According to the mayor, the installation of a modular unit will be cheaper than a traditional brick building. In addition, it is a faster solution, which suits the town hall.
