Brno - The South Moravian Region will allocate almost five million crowns to municipalities and sports clubs for project documentation for the reconstruction of orloven and sokoloven. This was said to journalists by the region's spokeswoman Monika Brindzáková. The region is responding to a separate title from the Ministry for Regional Development, which also offers funds for these repairs. According to Brindzáková, municipalities often lack funds for quality project documentation that historical buildings often require.

The grant program was approved by the regional council. A budget of 4.8 million crowns has been earmarked to support the preparation of reconstructions. "Applicants can only be sports clubs or municipalities that own historical sports facilities. The amount of the grant for one project will range from 200,000 to 500,000 crowns," Brindzáková stated.

In cases where the applicant is a sports club, the minimum co-participation rate for the applicant is 10 percent; for municipalities, it is 30 percent of the total eligible project expenses. "The grant title should address the problem of the lack of funds for municipalities and sports clubs for the quality processing of project documentation respecting the historical value of these buildings," said Deputy Governor Jan Vitula (TOP 09). According to him, the intention is to build on the grant title of the ministry.
