The last Tuesday of April should be noted in the diaries of those interested in tours of normally inaccessible gems of Brno's architecture. On April 28, 2026, at 4:00 PM, the reservation system will open for the ninth edition of the Open House Brno festival. There will be 50 sites to choose from, for which a free reservation will be required for tours, including the Constitutional Court, the newly opened Clarion Hotel, and the PKV Offices in the Vlněna complex by CTP. Reservations can also be picked up in person at the temporary infopoint of Open House Brno at TIC Brno at Zámečnická 2, from April 29, 2026, from 9 AM to 6 PM - a special capacity is designated for this time. More than seventy other locations can be enjoyed without the need to secure tickets in advance. Just arrive on time at the meeting point.
The festival will begin with the opening of the Visual Stories competition at the Office of the Architect of the City of Brno.
The first taste of this year's architecture and urbanism festival will be the opening of the best works of the Visual Stories competition from the Open House Europe project on May 5 at 5:00 PM.
"This year we want to show festival visitors that city life is one endless transformation, and that each city lives with its specific colorfulness. This year's edition will kick off with the opening of the Visual Stories exhibition on May 5, offering people an original insight into the lives of sixteen European cities, including Athens, Sofia, and Helsinki. We will offer streams of gradual transformations of Brno itself from May 15 to 17. Since some festival locations have capacity or safety limitations, we ask those interested in tours to reserve their free tickets starting April 28 at 4 PM in our reservation system. We also believe that a comparison with the transformations and life of a smaller town, specifically Boskovice, which Open House Brno will visit on May 30, will be interesting," explains the creative director of the festival, Lucie Pešl Šilerová, from the organizing association Kultura & Management.
