Prague - The company Central Group has commenced the long-awaited construction of 682 new apartments in Prague's Žižkov district for nearly two billion crowns. Today, company spokesperson Martina Pavlisová informed that the construction of all apartments is expected to be completed in spring 2016. The land for the Central Plaza Residence project on Olšanská Street was purchased by the developer back in 2009 from Telefónica. The transaction also included the project for an office building along with permits. However, Central Group revised the original plan to focus on residential living. "The construction is designed as a five-story base with rooftop gardens, from which five eighteen-story towers will rise," stated Central Group CEO Dušan Kunovský, adding that the first apartments will be available for sale in September when the lower part of the construction is completed. The developer is conceptualizing the project as luxurious, which will correspond to a higher standard of execution. "The towers will feature large French windows from floor to ceiling with aluminum frames. Balconies and winter gardens will have glass railings. The entire building will be clad in modern designer cembonit. Even in the standard version, there will be air conditioning in the upper floors of the building," describes the developer, adding that the building will be monitored by a camera system and a 24/7 reception with security services. Apartments will range in layouts from 1+kk to 4+kk, most of them will have their own balcony, winter garden, or terrace. The construction will also include underground parking spaces and three commercial units on the ground floor. Central Group is one of the leaders in the domestic housing market, primarily building in Prague and its surroundings. Two years ago, the company sold a total of 1309 apartments, increasing its net profit to a record 888.6 million crowns. Over its 20 years in the development market, the company has completed 130 residential locations and sold more than 10,000 new apartments, houses, and plots.
