Workshop with Caramel in Vienna

On Saturday, April 14, 2007, from 3 PM, a lecture combined with a workshop by the Vienna architectural office Caramel Architekten will take place at the Architekturzentrum Wien. From the organizer's announcement: “What would happen if there were no projects? Would houses be built upside down if the project manager had no plan? How did a writing nib become a Rapidograph and what distinguishes a drawing machine from CAD?” Old floor plans and sections made with traditional tools will be displayed from the archive, along with an inventoried architectural model. Finally, the young Austrian office Caramel Architekten will show how light prints became renderings. The workshop is part of the series “Archikids: Attention Spies! A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Architecture”. The program is intended for children aged 6 and up. Austrians are instilled with an awareness of architectural culture from a young age. Link>
