Hearst Tower by Norman Foster in New York

A few days ago, the skyscraper of the Hearst media empire was completed in New York. Architecture critic Paul Goldberg has already labeled it as “the most beautiful skyscraper on Manhattan since 1967”. The 182-meter tall building is the first major Foster project on American soil. The 42-story crystalline form rests on a six-story base from 1928 designed by Vienna architect Joseph Urban. Originally, a multi-story addition was planned, but it only materialized after 75 years.
