Prague – The money from the auction of student architectural models participating in the 11th edition of the Inspireli Awards will help people in need. Models from 123 Czech and 39 Slovak students will go to the charity auction. The proceeds will support the rehabilitation of a boy with Down syndrome and the operation of the Kolečko Café in Bratislava, where people with disabilities serve. Representatives of the Inspireli Awards architectural competition informed about this in a press release.

"This is a way to give young creators a chance to contribute to supporting those in need, and an opportunity to breathe new life into their models. Young people are at the beginning, and there are few ways they can get involved in any charitable activity. Providing models for charity gives them the chance to help, and it also shapes their approach to a life that may not always be fair," said Inspireli co-founder Karel Smejkal.

The Inspireli Awards competition was established in the Czech Republic based on the idea of former president Václav Havel and architects Bořek Šípek and Karel Smejkal, and its goal is to support young talents from around the world regardless of their social, economic, or geographical conditions. Students can compete with any school project in three categories – architecture, interior, and urbanism, with this year seeing 2,801 projects submitted by 2,778 students from 108 countries worldwide.

Each year, students can also choose from thematic competitions; in the past, this has included competitions for the reconstruction of Beirut after its explosion or the restoration of Schindler's Ark in Brněnec.

The auction of the competition architectural models will take place in collaboration with the website aukro.cz and the Znesnáze 21 platform from September 24 to October 24. The results will be announced at a festive awards ceremony planned for October 24.
