This year's ARCH magazine Award, its 23rd annual ceremony, will take place for the first time in its history online. This format, of course, cannot replace the personal meetings and atmosphere that architects and other fans of good architecture have been accustomed to in relation to the ARCH Award. The organizers of the Award – EUROSTAV Publishing and the ARCH magazine about architecture and other culture – will, however, try to at least partially mediate it, and that is why they have decided to carry out the broadcast from the Moyzes Hall in Bratislava, where this eagerly awaited event by all Slovak architects has been held in recent years.
This year's nominations bring a portion of quality architecture, reflecting the current situation in the Slovak architectural scene. Ten nominations mean ten stories about architecture, ten architects and architectural offices that will be presented during the ceremonial evening. And as is customary with the ARCH Award, only one ARCH Award 2020 laureate will be announced. The decision was made on September 18, 2020, by an international jury consisting of: Nora Vranová (SK), Andrea Bacová (SK), Pavel Nasadil (CZ), Thomas Weber (Austria), Christoph Mörkl (Austria).
Who will be this year's laureate of the ARCH Award 2020 will be revealed: on November 19, 2020 at 7:00 PM. through an online broadcast from the Moyzes Hall in Bratislava.
The link to watch the event will be published on the ARCH magazine's website and its Facebook page a few days in advance.
