Biography
Mark Balzar is an Austrian architect and researcher who leads the scientific studio OpenFields in Vienna. Before founding his own studio, he worked in the offices of Wolfgang Tschapeller (2011-15) and OMA in Rotterdam (2007-11). Since 2005, he has been an assistant at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, and since 2012, he has been a lead researcher at dieAngewandte. He is also a member of IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) in Barcelona.
