Biography
Jiří Siegel was a Czech architect, writer, and basketball player. He studied at the College of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Prague, and he took up basketball during his university studies.
He was employed at Sportprojekt Prague. Among his most well-known projects are the villa of Karel Gott in Strašnice, the Poustevník hotel in Pec pod Sněžkou, a mountain rescue hut in the Krkonošes, and the Folimanka Sports Hall in Prague. He also devoted himself to music and writing. He wrote several humorous books and publications about actor Jiří Líra and mime Jaroslav Čejka. He is also the author of the book The House and Its Architect.
