Company headquarters PDP

The main requirement of the builder was to construct a building with a durable structure and a pleasant yet modern appearance. Since the client has operated in the region as an established construction company for a long time, the new company headquarters needed to serve not only as a comfortable place for work and meetings but also as a dignified representative function.

The building is located in the center of the village of Nitrianske Sučany in the Prievidza district of western Slovakia. The construction arose on the site of the former municipal office and fire station and is two stories high, complementing the urban structure with its placement in the central part of the village. Despite its administrative function, its placement and scale fit into the existing structure of residential houses. The pentagonal floor plan shape with the main facade oriented towards the street offers a pleasant working environment for the staff and management of the company.

On the first floor, there are entrances to the building, created by recessing part of the mass of the structure, which allows for natural protection against weather influences. The recessed entrances are further emphasized by the installation of linear lights, which highlight the entrance locations in the evening hours and invite visitors inside. The layout on the first above-ground floor is divided by a central corridor connecting two entrances to the building. This separates the office spaces from their additional equipment on both floors. The first above-ground floor contains, in addition to offices for management, a meeting room. The second floor is occupied by staff offices along with their storage and sanitary facilities.

The street facade is dominated by twelve identical, 2.7-meter-high windows with a single sloped reveal from the southeast side. Thanks to this modification, more light enters the interior, providing employees with a better working environment and comfort. An organic coarse-grained modeling plaster was used on the facade, which changes its shade and visual appearance depending on the sunlight conditions.
