Villa Restoration and Reconstruction, Roztoky

We are restoring the genius loci, removing the alluvium of the bad quality conglomerate of the original building. On the site, we have found a house, big in its outer volume but paralyzed with the troglodyte disposition. We are articulating the gorgeous living space of the garden, delineated by the monumental facade, terrace and roof overhang, connected with the high internal main living space. The house faces the garden and protects the comfort and privacy of its occupants. We are promoting the original terazzo staircase to one of the core motives of the house. We are not afraid of the new order, we resonate with the timeless character of the place, of one of the oldest seats in the centre of the Czech Basin. The design was created in two variants, both following purposely the concept of the „ classicizing“ expression position.
