The interior of the agricultural house in Loubí is unique in many ways. The original intention of the investor was to build a new building next to the barn and use it only as a warehouse space. The plan did not go through the zoning plan, so the barn itself was revitalized and adapted for recreational housing. The architects liked the simplicity of the original building and decided to preserve it as much as possible. The interior was solved by the construction of a wooden building in the place of the original peren - the back of the barn. The interior is half of this wooden building - there are two bedrooms, bathroom, toilet, utility room and the wooden kitchen. In the area between the two gates, there is a living space - a dining room or a living room with an open fireplace. Open fireplace was one of the basic elements of the assignment. The wooden cottage inside the barn was built for several reasons. One of them was the financial demands of the modification of the stone building with regard to the energy carrying capacity of the building. The requirement was also the maximum use of materials from local sources. Larch decking is treated with Japanese wood protection technique by sunbathing. Illumination and aeration of the interior is solved by gable perforation of peripheral walls, a new window was created in the front wall, thanks to which the interior was enriched with a new view and more light. The whole construction was realized by sister construction company MY76 s.r.o. The conviction of the SAD studio is that the quality result cannot be achieved only by a perfectly sophisticated design, which must go hand in hand with a careful and crafted design. The ideal is the closest possible cooperation of the design and implementation team. This was achieved in this case thanks to the involvement of SAD’s own construction company.
