In the very heart of the Krkonoše Mountains stands a building called Corso Harrachov, where architects Kristýna Bělohradská and Kryštof Blažek of studio minio designed the interior of an attic apartment with a large terrace and stunning views. The building is situated just below the ski slopes, right on a shopping street lined with restaurants, surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of the Krkonoše Mountains.
The interior features natural, earthy tones, tending towards darker, cosy shades. The bespoke furniture designed by studio minio showcases the timeless hues of American walnut, while the kitchen worktop is made of greenish granite and the warm grey paintwork complements the interior.
The apartment is compact, so every centimetre is put to discreet use: drawers are concealed within the double bed; opposite the kitchen, a cabinet topped with a coffee machine houses a foldaway bed; a low shelving unit beneath the windows provides storage; and next to the kitchen, a wall-mounted sideboard beneath an oval mirror matches the kitchen cabinetry. Everything has its place here—a beautiful minimalist fireplace stands at the centre of the apartment. Glossy spherical wall lights complement the wood-panelled walls, while two floor lamps illuminate the living area. Three large, glossy pendant lights make a striking statement above the central round dining table, and the expansive glazed frontage opening onto the terrace offers beautiful views of the treetops of Harrachov’s forests.
