Ostrava – On the corner of Nádražní and Českobratrské streets next to the conservatory in the center of Ostrava, Deeplexus Investments will build a multifunctional building called Křižovatka. The seven-story building will include apartments, commercial spaces, underground garages, and will have a green roof with gardens. Construction could start in 2023, with estimated costs of 350 million crowns. Monika Lukešová informed ČTK about this on behalf of the company today.

The site is one of the busiest intersections in the city center, with trams and trolleybuses passing through. The land has been vacant since 2006, when builders demolished a building that housed the first private antiquarian bookshop in Ostrava, Artforum, which began operating there before the regime change in 1989.

The company signed a purchase agreement for the sale of the land for the construction of the multifunctional building with the city at the beginning of June. "At this time, preparations are being finalized for submitting the application for the land-use decision and both the investor and the city expect a swift process in this procedure so that construction can begin as soon as possible," Lukešová stated.

The residence will have 53 apartments with a total area of approximately 4000 m². Each apartment will have its own cellar compartment, parking in the underground part of the building, and apartments on the top floor will have direct access to their private rooftop garden.

"The roof of the building will feature a green space that will provide new owners and tenants with the opportunity to build a summer kitchen, sauna, or hot tub, and of course the chance to relax in greenery. For apartment owners and tenants on the lower floors who do not have their own garden, a communal garden will be built for everyone to use," added Michal Jelínek, chairman of the board of Deeplexus Investments.
