Prague - The new chairwoman of the Czech Commission for UNESCO is former president of the Czech Academy of Sciences Helena Illnerová, who was appointed today for the next three years. She succeeds diplomat and former senator Jaroslava Moserová, who passed away last March.

    Illnerová, who has long been a researcher at the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, received her appointment decree from Foreign Minister Alexandr Vondra, the Foreign Ministry informed the Czech News Agency (ČTK).
