Prague - Developer Radim Passer plans to build a world museum of the Bible in Prague within five to seven years, which is to become part of his BB Center. Passer wants to allocate a smaller building with an area of 2000 to 2500 m² for it, he said today in an interview with ČTK.

"The museum could provide a biblical overview of the history of humanity, and at the same time present the history and various rare exhibits of this book of books. I believe that it could bring amazing moral enlightenment for both schools and other visitors," noted Passer.
The museum is meant to remind people that European culture has grown on Christian foundations and to provide them with information about the Bible, including all the languages into which it has been translated. Besides schools and Czech visitors, it will also target foreign tourists.
"For many people, it will certainly be an interesting attraction within Prague, which will also bring them spiritual enrichment," hopes the developer, who was inspired to build the world shrine to the Bible by a person from northern Moravia. "So far, I haven't heard of anything similar in the world. I believe that the Lord God will bless such an endeavor," added Passer.
He intends the project to be non-profit and is not afraid of the widespread atheism of the Czech nation. According to Passer, this can be attributed to distrust in the church, for which mainly Christians themselves are responsible. "People, in principle, do not have a problem with the Bible, they do not have a problem with the Lord God, but they have a problem with how churches have portrayed the Lord God in a false light through their actions and behavior. My life experience is such that when people encounter an unskewed image of a loving God's character, then no one has a problem with such a god," pointed out Passer.
The world museum of the Bible is to be one of the last stages of the growing BB Center, which Passer has been building for 20 years in the Prague district of Michle. During that time, he has invested 14 billion crowns in it. In addition to offices and apartments, there is now a Christian elementary and kindergarten, a community center, and the Balance Club Brumlovka fitness and wellness center in the complex. Currently, seven stages remain to be completed, including three residential, three administrative, and a hotel with conference facilities. The complex is expected to have an area of 375 thousand square meters, with investment costs climbing to 21 billion crowns.
