Evolution is a process of gradual change during which directly correlates to the physical transformations of architectural forms.
This book covers 3 chapters, Speciation/Adaptation/Response, on the evolution of form development and the methodology leading up to it. Grasshopper is a mediator which bridges imagination with architecture. It evolves us into another design realm.
Stackable Side dish Box
a box is a square or rectangular container with hard edges.
There are many instances where a singular object can take on a different meaning.
we gain inspiration when this object takes a hold of a different narrative and becomes something new and different. imagine these boxes are filled with various foods and stacked upon each other. this can be paralleled with a building mass and the programmatic functions that are stacked within it. therefore, creative inspiration is always present and surrounding us.
Refers to the biological makeup of the human anatomy: bones, organs, and skin.
The human anatomy is a mysterious space. all parts of the body contain the biological potential to create and do amazing things.
the anatomical and structural makeup of a human body can also be compared to the processes that are a building. 206 bones create the structure of the human body, similar to a building structure. internal human organs function similar to the inner processes of a building, and the skin acts as a barrier, or exterior wall, protecting the internal organs.
A chameleon is a species of lizard whose skin changes according to the intensity of light, temperature, and emotion.
Living organisms are strongly effected by their surrounding environment, whether it is social or primordial based, survival, instincts. buildings share similar properties. A building effects the local environment as well as the users environment. if a building is not designed appropriately for the environment the user can feel uncomfortable. A building designed for cold weather does not suit a hot environment, and visa versa. environmental processes or phenomenons can be used as design catalysts to create environmentally safe buildings.
