In this issue, a special feature on the Kimbell Art Museum in Forth Worth, Texas. Completed in 1972, the building was designed by Louis I. Kahn. The magazine reproduces a set of construction drawings from Preston M. Geren, the architect who collaborated with Kahn’s office from the early design period, and give an impression of how Kahn’s vision was realised. Along with many photographs from today, they tell the story of how the design team shaped the museum into a modern-day masterpiece. With essays by Lawrence Speck and Carlos Jimenez, plus an interview with Frank H. Sherwood and Dewayne Manning, two architect’s from Geren’s office who worked on the project.
